Idaho reduces acreage for the 2024 Russet potato crop.

Idaho is expecting a decrease in the acreage devoted to Russet potatoes for the upcoming crop. "The planted acres are considerably lower. I've heard it will be between 305,000 acres and 315,000 acres. Last season, the industry as a whole had 328,000 acres," says Ryan Wahlen of Pleasant Valley Potato.
