The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has announced the notification of four new potato varieties developed by the ICAR–Central Potato Research Institute for seed production and multiplication throughout India. These varieties, including Kufri Ratan, Kufri Jyoti, Kufri Megha, and Kufri Chipsona-1, have been approved for release based on recommendations from the Central Seed Committee.
