Potato retail sales remain strong in July - September
Potato retail sales remained strong for the quarter from July-September 2023, up 9.5% from the same period a year ago. All categories of potatoes saw increases in dollar sales.
Despite a slight decrease (-1.7%) in total volume sales, fresh volume sales remained stable compared to a year ago (-0.4%), led by increases in yellow (3.3%), red (2.8%) and fingerling potatoes (3.9%).
