Spain extends VAT reduction on food
Spain is extending the tax relief on food purchases, which was originally intended to cushion the price increases resulting from the Ukraine war for six months since the beginning of the year. As the Council of Ministers recently decided in Madrid, no VAT will continue to be charged on bread, flour, milk, cheese and eggs, as well as fruit, vegetables, pulses and potatoes.
