Fresh produce, especially potatoes, are the most commonly discarded items in the UK according to a recent survey. The annual Household Food Management Survey by Love Food Hate Waste reveals that approximately 510,000 tonnes of potatoes are thrown away in UK households each year, accounting for 46 percent of all purchased potatoes.
