Bangladesh currently produces nearly 12 million tons of potatoes, resulting in a surplus of around 4 million tons. The Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) reported that potato production reached 11.57 million tons in the 2024/25 fiscal year, which was a 9.17% increase from the previous year's production of 10.60 million tons.
