The start of the North Carolina sweet potato season is being delayed due to wet weather.

Fall produce programs are currently in progress, and although North Carolina is still shipping some sweet potatoes from 2023, the digging has already started for the 2024 crop. "Although most of North Carolina is lagging behind, it depends on the geography," says Matt Solana, VP of operations/supply chain at Jackson Farming Company.
