Pest problems and adverse weather conditions in eastern Andalusia caused the sweet pepper campaign to end earlier in some areas. This led to limited deliveries from Spain in certain cases. The BLE reported a supply gap that could not be filled even with the start of the Dutch and Belgian seasons.
