The value of domestically produced vegetables increased by 10% to just under £1.9 billion in 2023, while the volume of domestic production decreased by 4.9% to 2.2 million tonnes. There was a 12% increase in the value of field vegetables, reaching £1.5 billion (£155 million increase).
