The 2023 tomato processing campaign in Italy closed with a production of 5.4 million tonnes, slightly down (-1.3%) on 2022. The processing industry had to cope with a long and complex campaign with production costs that show no sign of decreasing. This year, it was the weather that caused considerable difficulties
