Italy: Pachino Tomato PGI postage stamp

In total, five varieties of tomatoes are eligible for the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI). They are grown on 370 hectares of land in the southeast of Sicily, concentrated in the town of Pachino (SR). Approximately 10 million kilograms of certified produce are produced annually. The allowed varieties include cherry tomatoes and smooth, round tomatoes.
