Thuringia: Vegetable harvest under glass increased compared to the previous year

The majority of Thuringian greenhouse area (86%) was once again used for the cultivation of tomatoes. The cultivation area amounted to a total of 28 hectares, which was 1 hectare or 4% higher than the previous year. The harvest quantity was around 11,300 tons, representing an increase of 1,600 tons or 17% compared to 2023.
