Vegetable harvest in 2024 increased by six percent compared to the previous year.

In 2021, 4.3 million tons more vegetables were harvested. As the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) further reports, the total cultivation area for vegetables increased by 3.2% compared to the previous year to 126,800 hectares. The cultivation area in 2024 was thus 2.9% above the long-term average (2012).
